Landscaping
How much does landscaping cost in Sydney?
Costs vary depending on the scope of work. A basic garden tidy-up starts from a few hundred dollars, while a full structural landscaping project with retaining walls and paving can range from $10,000 to $50,000 or more. We provide free on-site quotes tailored to your project.
How long does a landscaping project take?
Timelines depend on the project size. A turf installation may take 1 to 2 days, a retaining wall 3 to 5 days, and a full backyard transformation 2 to 4 weeks. We provide a timeline estimate with every quote.
Do I need council approval for retaining walls?
In NSW, retaining walls over 600mm in height generally require council approval and may need engineering certification. We can advise on approval requirements during our consultation and assist with the process.
What materials do you use for retaining walls?
We work with sandstone blocks and logs, concrete sleepers, timber sleepers and engineered block systems. The best choice depends on your site conditions, budget and design preference.
Do you handle excavation and site preparation?
Yes. We provide complete site preparation including excavation, drainage installation, soil removal and levelling as part of our landscaping construction service.
Turf and Gardens
What turf variety is best for Sydney?
It depends on your conditions. Sir Walter Buffalo is great for shaded areas and families. TifTuf Bermuda suits full sun and is drought tolerant. Sir Grange Zoysia gives a premium manicured look. Eureka Kikuyu is budget friendly for large areas. We help you choose during our consultation.
How soon can I walk on new turf?
Light foot traffic is fine after 2 weeks. Full use including children and pets is recommended after 4 to 6 weeks once the roots have established. We provide detailed aftercare instructions with every installation.
Do you supply and install turf or just supply?
We offer both. We can supply turf for DIY installation or provide full supply and professional installation including soil preparation and levelling.
How often should I water new turf?
Water deeply twice a day for the first 2 weeks, then reduce to once daily for weeks 3 and 4. After that, water every 2 to 3 days depending on weather. We provide a detailed watering schedule with every installation.
